Eye Care Associates is incredibly passionate about helping people in North Carolina and all over the world improve their vision. Eyewear can transform lives and allow individuals to experience clear vision when they need it.
Gift of Vision One-for-One Campaign
Our partnership with RestoringVision allows Eye Care Associates and our customers to make a difference with a cause we truly care about. Every time a customer purchases a complete pair of prescription glasses at Eye Care Associates, another pair will be donated to low income populations in developing countries and throughout the U.S.
RestoringVision is a non-profit organization that provides new readers and sunglasses to Samaritan groups serving the vision needs of individuals worldwide. Since 2003, this organization has distributed more than 1.9 million pairs of glasses in more than 75 countries.
At Eye Care Associates, we’ve made it our goal to donate 50,000 sets of eyewear to those in need through RestoringVision in 2013 — and you can help us reach that goal.
When you purchase a complete set of frames and lenses or prescription sunglasses at Eye Care Associates, we will donate one pair of eyewear to RestoringVision. It’s that simple.
Not only do eyeglasses improve quality of life, they also boost scholastic performance and work productivity. Similarly, sunglasses protect from smoke, dust, debris and harmful UV light — all factors extremely important to the health and wellbeing of adults and children across the globe.
Local Community Support
Eye Care Associates truly cares about the individuals and organizations in the communities where our employees live, work and shop. Our offices are located in quiet suburbs, bustling urban centers and everything in between, and our staff understands the unique needs of each of these thriving North Carolina neighborhoods.
Over the years, we’ve supported a number of local organizations and charitable events, including:
- Dr. Stephen Bolick Scholarship
- American Red Cross
- Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)
- Habitat for Humanity
- USO of NC
- YMCA
- Free eye exams and glasses for local school children who cannot afford them
- Various community organizations’ medical mission trips to developing countries
- Silent auction donations and other charitable sponsorships
